The Story of
Mandi’s Tea House

Amanda Bettencourt Crocker has always had a passion for language, culture, and travel. After teaching in Connecticut for nearly 20 years, she decided to move abroad and work with English as a Second Language Learners.

While in China, Amanda and her son, Liam, had amazing adventures all over Asia. Upon her return to the United States in 2021, she met her partner-in-all-things, Charles Hall, who joined her in Egypt for another opportunity to teach abroad.

They settled in Norwich in 2023, yet missed their experiences in Europe and North Africa. In an effort to share their love of tea and travel, they created Mandi’s Tea House, offering global tea experiences without having to leave the country. Currently, they operate out of their Tea Tent at local and private events while searching for the perfect space for their Tea House. Their goal is to provide a safe place where people can gather for community and educational events around a cup of tea!
